Finish DFM Review
What We Finish

Surface Finishing as Part of the Part, Not an Afterthought

A forged or machined part is only as good as its finish when appearance and protection matter. We handle painting and anodizing in-house so cosmetic quality and functional surfaces are controlled by the same team that made the part.

Liquid Painting
Primer plus topcoat systems for structural metal parts. Suitable for color-matched components that need weather and corrosion resistance.
Powder Coating
Durable, impact-resistant finish with consistent color and coverage. Good for brackets, frames, and parts handled in the field.
Anodizing
Type II anodizing for aluminum parts. Corrosion resistance, controlled color, and a hard finish for functional surfaces.
Finishes We Commonly Apply

Where Finishing Makes a Real Difference

We focus on finishes where the part has to look correct, survive the environment, and still meet functional tolerances after coating or anodizing.

Structural Brackets
Painted or powder-coated brackets and mounts that need to resist weather and handling.
Machined Aluminum Parts
Anodized CNC aluminum parts where color, hardness, and corrosion resistance are required.
Appearance-Critical Components
Parts where color match, gloss, and surface quality are part of the final spec.
Structural + Cosmetic Combos
Parts that have to be strong structurally and look right visually (brackets, hangers, housings).

Wie wir mit Käufern aus dem Ausland zusammenarbeiten

Ein klarer Prozess, der darauf ausgelegt ist, den Hin- und Her-Austausch zu reduzieren und Ihre Teile schneller in die Produktion zu bringen.

01
Share Finish Spec
Tell us the color, standard (e.g., RAL, Pantone), finish type, and any environmental requirement.
02
Finish DFM
We review the part for coverage, masking, anodizing feasibility, and whether any tolerances need to be adjusted for finish thickness.
03
Sample Panels
Where useful, we provide sample panels or a sample part so you can approve color, gloss, and feel before production.
04
Pretreatment
Proper surface preparation before finishing. Cleaning, degreasing, and conversion coating as required by the finish system.
05
Finish Application
Painting, powder coating, or anodizing under controlled conditions. QC checks for coverage, color, and film thickness.
06
Packaging & Ship
Finish-protective packaging to keep coated or anodized parts clean and safe in transit.
Why Finishing With Davmore

One Team Owns the Part From Forging to Final Finish

Finishing Integrated With Manufacturing

Finishing is not outsourced. We apply it in-house, so forging, machining, and finishing are all under one quality process.

Color & Spec Matching

We work from color standards you provide (e.g., RAL, Pantone) and can match to samples or reference parts.

DFM That Includes Finish

Finish thickness and masking are considered in the tolerance plan, so the finished part still fits and functions as expected.

Both Decorative and Protective Routes

We choose paint, powder, or anodizing based on the real service environment of the part, not just what is cheapest.

Experience With Structural Parts

Our structural part background means we understand finishes that have to survive real use, not just look good in a box.

Consistent Batches

QC for color, gloss, and film thickness so each production batch matches the approved sample.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Häufig gestellte Fragen

What is the difference between painting, powder coating, and anodizing?
Painting uses liquid primer and topcoat, powder coating uses electrostatically applied powder cured by heat, and anodizing is an electrochemical process for aluminum that changes the surface itself. Each has different strength, cost, and appearance characteristics.
Can you match specific colors?
Yes. We work from standards like RAL and Pantone, and can match to a physical sample where needed.
Do you anodize steel parts?
Anodizing is applied to aluminum alloys. For steel parts we recommend painting or powder coating, plus plating options where needed.
How is finish thickness handled in tolerances?
We include film thickness in the DFM review and confirm which surfaces need masking so mating features stay within spec.
Do you support custom effects like matte or textured finishes?
Yes. We can work to matte, satin, gloss, and textured finishes within the painting and powder coating ranges.
Can I approve finish before mass production?
Yes. Sample panels or a sample part can be prepared so you can approve color and finish quality before committing to the full batch.
